I wanted a magazine that could look at fashion without reducing it to product, and at beautiful things without separating them from the lives and culture around them.


PRÉSENCE began with a simple conviction: the things that stay with us usually belong to larger worlds. A dress has a maker and a place. An object acquires memory. A journey changes the meaning of both. A founder’s point of view can become something other people recognise themselves in.

This magazine is an attempt to look at those connections with curiosity, restraint and attention. Not everything needs to be louder. Some things become more interesting the longer we look.
